Architectural feature walls.
Slat walls have moved from retail merchandising into mainstream architecture. Aluminum slats define lobbies, hospitality interiors, restaurants, exterior facades, and feature walls in projects of every scale. Aluminum Ave supplies acoustic-backed interior slats, weather-rated exterior slats, and modular display slats — all with the durability and finish quality contractors and designers expect from a premium U.S. supplier.
Interior acoustic slat walls combine a linear aluminum face with a high-density acoustic felt or PET backer. The slats add visual rhythm and warmth to a space while the backer absorbs reflected sound, dropping reverb in conference rooms, lobbies, restaurants, and offices. NRC ratings up to 0.80 are achievable depending on slat spacing and backer composition.
Exterior aluminum slat walls take advantage of the same look without the moisture, rot, or insect risk of wood. We supply slats with PVDF Kynar 500 finishes warranted for 20 years against fade and chalk, including realistic woodgrain options in oak, walnut, teak, and ipe. Continuous mounting tracks engage the back of each slat for a fastener-free face.
Slat geometry is fully customizable. Standard depths run from 1" to 4", widths from 1" to 6", and on-center spacing tuned to your visual and acoustic targets. We can produce variable-depth slat compositions for sculpted feature walls, gradient screens, and signature lobby installations.
Retail and merchandising slat systems are compatible with standard 3" on-center display hardware. The aluminum face is more durable than MDF or PVC alternatives, holding up to repeated fixture changes without chipping or sagging.
Every slat wall package ships with a continuous carrier, slat field, end caps, perimeter trims, and an installation drawing tailored to your wall layout. For larger projects we provide a panelized assembly — slats pre-mounted to a backer panel — that drops the on-site labor by 50% or more compared to slat-by-slat install.
Aluminum slat walls are the right specification when an architect wants the warmth of natural materials with the performance, fire rating, and lifecycle of a metal product. We help contractors hit the design intent while protecting the schedule and budget.
