Custom extruded louvers for high-rise & multifamily.
PTAC (Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner) louvers are one of the most repeated envelope details on a modern multifamily or hospitality tower — and one of the most visible. With hundreds or thousands of identical openings stacked across a facade, even small inconsistencies in finish, blade alignment, or sightlines telegraph across the entire building. Aluminum Ave manufactures custom extruded aluminum PTAC louvers engineered for the performance, repeatability, and architectural quality that production-scale developers and architects require.
Stamped or roll-formed PTAC grilles are the legacy standard, but they fall short on every modern spec: thin material dents in shipping and install, painted finishes chalk and fade within years, drainage is an afterthought, and free area is compromised by closely-spaced blades. Custom extrusion solves each of these — a single 6063-T5 die produces dimensionally stable blade and frame profiles with the wall thickness, drainage geometry, and finish capability the project actually needs.
Our PTAC louver program starts with the project's mechanical schedule and facade drawings. We coordinate sleeve dimensions, mullion alignment, blade pitch, and finish color with the curtain wall, window wall, or panelized facade scope so the louvers read as part of the envelope — not a bolted-on afterthought. Drainable blade configurations channel water out of the assembly and away from the unit, and storm-rated profiles are available for hurricane and high-rise wind exposure.
Finishes are factory-applied AAMA 2605 PVDF Kynar 500 in any custom color, or Class I clear and color anodize for a true metallic appearance. Both finishes carry 20–30 year warranties against chalk, fade, and film integrity — a critical detail when warranty exposure across a 200-unit tower is measured in the millions.
Aluminum Ave ships PTAC louvers pre-assembled and kitted by floor, unit type, or stack. Each kit arrives with the blade assembly, frame, fasteners, and gasketing required for that opening — no field sorting, no missing parts, no schedule risk. For repeat-buyer developers, we hold tooling and run scheduled releases coordinated with framing and facade installation phases.
Engineering support is included on every project. We provide AMCA-style airflow and water penetration data, stamped shop drawings for permit submittal, and AAMA finish warranties as part of the standard submittal package. For developers and architects scaling from one tower to a portfolio, this is the PTAC louver category, done right.
