Railings and guardrails are a code-driven specification — they have to perform structurally, meet IBC or IRC infill and load requirements, and look right on the finished project. Aluminum Ave supplies glass, aluminum picket, and cable railing systems engineered to code, fabricated to spec, and shipped nationwide with PE-stamped drawings on request.
Glass railing systems are the design-forward choice for balconies, terraces, mezzanines, and stair runs. We supply both frameless base-shoe systems — where the glass is structurally captured in an aluminum shoe at the deck — and standoff post systems for projects that need visible posts. Tempered or laminated glass is sized to meet IBC concentrated load (200 lb) and uniform load (50 plf) requirements.
Aluminum picket and panel railing is the workhorse system for decks, multifamily balconies, pool surrounds, and commercial walkways. Pre-engineered systems install fast with mechanical brackets and PE-stamped attachment to wood, concrete, or steel. Custom panel infills — laser-cut, perforated, or solid — are available for signature installations.
Cable rail combines aluminum posts with stainless cable infill for an unobstructed view. We supply marine-grade 316 stainless cable, swageless tensioners, and pre-drilled posts engineered to maintain cable spacing under the IBC 4" sphere requirement. Cable rail is the right choice for waterfront, mountain, and view-driven projects.
Engineering matters with railings. The IBC requires guards to resist a 200 lb concentrated load applied at any point along the top rail, plus a uniform load and infill load. Our systems are pre-tested and pre-engineered to these requirements, with PE stamps available in any U.S. state. We also supply test reports for fall-protection inspections post-install.
Finishes include Class I anodized in clear, bronze, and black, AAMA 2604 powder coat in 30+ standard colors, and custom color matching to match adjacent facade or curtain wall systems. Hardware is stainless or color-matched aluminum.
Lead times run 4–8 weeks for stock systems and 6–10 weeks for custom panel railing. We coordinate releases with the deck or balcony schedule so your crew installs as soon as the deck is ready.
