Bollards, canopies & cable management for the charging buildout.
The U.S. EV charging buildout — driven by NEVI federal funding, IRA Section 30C tax credits, and private fleet electrification — is the fastest-growing aluminum extrusion application in commercial construction. Aluminum Ave manufactures custom and stock profiles for every layer of the charging stack: charger bollards, OEM pedestal housings, canopy and carport structures, cable management raceways, and DCFC enclosures.
Aluminum is the material of choice for EV charging because it does not corrode, dissipates heat from high-power chargers, and finishes in any color a brand or municipality requires. Our extruded bollards and pedestal housings replace welded steel fabrications at lower weight, lower lifecycle cost, and faster install — critical when developers are racing to deploy hundreds of sites against tight NEVI obligation deadlines.
For EVSE OEMs (charger manufacturers), we offer turnkey enclosure programs: die development, CNC machining, powder coat or PVDF finishing, sub-assembly, and dropship logistics direct to your contract manufacturer or distribution partner. Production runs scale from 500-unit pilots to 50,000+ unit annual programs, with full traceability and Buy America documentation when your channel demands it.
Canopy and carport framing is the other half of the charging story. Solar-paired canopies that shade the charging stalls and offset grid demand are now standard on flagship sites. We extrude the rafters, purlins, columns, and tie-back members and ship engineered bays ready for crane install. Stamped engineering for the project's wind, snow, and seismic zone is included.
Cable management is where most charging installs look cheap or look premium. We supply overhead raceways, bollard-integrated cable concealment, and retractable cable holsters that keep the site clean and reduce trip-and-fall risk — a real liability concern with 25-foot DCFC cables. Custom finishes match the host brand or developer color palette.
If you're building EV charging — as an EPC, an EVSE OEM, a fleet operator, or a developer — we have stock parts ready to ship and the die-engineering bandwidth to develop proprietary profiles. Send drawings or a project scope and we'll quote inside one business day.
